Since This War I Don't Know Where I Am at Times

Postcard Caption:
The sacred Alamo stands within the very heart of the business district of the city of San Antonio. It was erected in 1718 by the Franciscan Monks and was originally the Chapel of the Mission of San Antonio de Valera. It was within the gray stone walls of the quaint old Chapel, March 6, 1836, that Travis, Bonham, Bowie, Crokett, and 177 unsung heroes gave their lives in defense of Texas liberty.
Postcard Message:
Dear Mr. Hermann / You asked me whether I had any Texas beer ... I had a few but I don't know just where they are since this war I don't know where I am at times I will keep looking thru my collection and my r- ... them. / r-- Emil S--

UNDER SIX FLAGS, SHOWING ALAMO, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS the Alamo has been ruled under six different flags, French, Spanish, Mexican, Texas, Confederate, and the United States.
MESSAGE:
Hi Folks! Looked over this old Fort today and also saw the rifle that was supposed to have been David Crockett's at the famous siege. Will be seeing you all soon. / Marshall
In San Antonio this August for a conference, I visited the Alamo.
