BACK; THE ROSE BOWL / The scene of the East-West football championship, which is decided annually on New Year's Day. Each year the tournament of Roses invites the western university whose team has made the most outstanding record during the season. the university in turn invites its opponent of like standing from the East. This game has become a national classic.Postcard Message:
Sat. / This place holds 105,000 and they are adding more seats to it. / Tom & HazelTeams first met in the Rose Bowl in 1902, and the 100th Rose Bowl Game was celebrated in January 2014. Why the gap? For a time, the football championship was replaced by chariot races inspired by Ben-Hur.
