Great postcard. So what does the pig with a bag of money strapped to its back, which is leaking coins, mean? I assume this refers somehow to a prosperous New Year? Or is there some other meaning?

In German, "to have pig" is to have good luck. I think the idea is that if you have pigs, you will always have food and income.
