This is a large artificial lake and seems queer down here as you see so little water, all the rivers being dry now.

I think Ardmore City Lake was renamed by the time I was born, and we did most of our lake-related recreational activities  at Lake Murray. When my grandparents first started dating, though, they went to the city lake on group outings:
