R.E.A.D. Dogs

I got this wonderful postcard today through Postcrossing. It's my first postcard from a dog! Beau, the sender, has his own blog to chronicle his adventures as a R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dog) at a library in Finland.

I wish Norman or Walter had the temperament to be a reading therapy dog. Maybe our next pug... in any case, Beau inspires me. He signed his postcard, "Books and dogs are good for you." I couldn't agree more!

Knitted Jumper

Uncirculated
Real Photo Postcard

I picked this up not just because the little boy is precious, but also because he's wearing such a good-looking knitted sweater. Since knitting is one of my favorite hobbies, I am working on developing my vintage postcard collection related to knitting and yarn.

Pug Photographer

This is an adorable pug-as-photographer postcard from 1901. Since I don't know German, the message remains a mystery to me. I put "bitte recht freundlieh" in google translate to which I received "please pretty friend lent." I'm pretty sure that's not what the correspondent had in mind!
