BACK: THE NIAGARA FALLS MUSEUM / No trip to Niagara Falls is complete without a visit to this museum. The museum, situated on the Riverway and facing Prospect Park, is a storehouse of interesting relics and unusual objects, and has several hundred thousand specimens, including Egyptian mummies, Indian relics, and animals.
According to the Niagara Falls Museum website, the museum was forced to move in 1958 to make room for a parking lot. Currently, the museum is in its sixth location, now in Toronto.

I visited Niagara Falls for the first time this week (alas, my trip was not complete without a stop at the museum). The falls are fabulous, and we took a tour on the Maid of the Mist boat. We got soaked, even with our rain gear, but it was refreshing since the day was so hot. We were on the Canadian side, so the vantage point of this photo is slightly different than the view in the postcard.
