Message:
This is a beautiful castle we visited yesterday. lunch on the Danish coast with the Swedish --- about 5 mi N. Denmark mostly agricultural, rolling hills. Very green and verdant. Many fine parks and 400.000 bicycles, autos, mostly American. ---sculptors left many of the world's finest statues and base reliefs here w churches and museums. Lots of beautiful porcelain, copper and silver gadgets also sidewalk cafes. Berlin and Dresden to-morrow. ---
From the National History Museum website:
Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød. The castle was built by Christian 4 in 1600 century's first decade as the largest Nordic renaissance plants. The opulent magnificent castle is rich in detail and impressive craftsmanship, both outside and inside. The castle houses the National History Museum and is a unique attraction with potential for major cultural events, garden tours and boat trips.
