Elmira, NYThe reformatory was for young men, so it's likely Miss Mary was simply a visitor to Elmira, New York! An amateur historian writes that the Reformatory was one of the town's most popular postcard subjects in the early 1900s. The prison exists today as the Elmira Correctional Facility.

It's an amazing building, at least from the outside. As I understand it, some of the prisoners there created some beautiful woodwork.
