Hi, does this postmark remind you of anything? We're having dinner in the coffee room, Clovis Hotel. Very nice. Have been seeing lots of pretty desert flowers and bushes (didn't pick!) My arms getting very brown from driving in the sun. Real stretch ahead - --- and straight. Not too hot, tho. Love, ---
Thanks to Beth at the Best Hearts are Crunchy for hosting Postcard Friendship Fridays!
LOL. Apparently she's never been to Death Valley!
ReplyDeleteHi Aimee - this is a linen postcard? :)

Haha, dessert flowers and bushes... funny. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I am constantly fascinated by deserts and cactus.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that the Mormons named the tree "Joshua tree". I like this comment from wiki, as I had never heard of this sloth:
ReplyDeleteThere is also concern about the ability of the trees to migrate to favorable climates due to the extinction of the giant Shasta ground sloth (Nothrotheriops shastensi) 13,000 years ago; ground sloth dung has been found to contain Joshua tree leaves, fruits, and seeds, suggesting that the sloths might have been key to the tree's dispersal.
