Great Lake Swimmers

To me, the music of the Great Lake Swimmers is magical. We've been lucky enough to see them twice in concert, both in intimate venues. I don't know why they don't have a bigger following! I was glad they were giving away postcards at the merchandise table:

The Link Bridge was dedicated on October 5, 1937, such a celebration that President Franklin D. Roosevelt attended.

Playful Kittens

I love cats and I love knitting, so I had to get this postcard. Although yarn is often depicted as a cat toy in paintings, it can be very dangerous to kitties. If cats swallow yarn, ribbon, or similar material, they can develop intestinal obstructions. This Animal Planet article outlines some of the other hazards.
